Equineox moved into its new facility in 2005 to provide additional manufacturing About the CompanyEquineox Technologies is a company driven by the passions of two men: experimenter Pat Greiner, and inventor Chris Martin. Pat’s interst began with his quest to help a sick child. He owned some race horses and was experimenting with oxygen masks for horses. Intrigued by his uncle’s interest, Chris suggested that an equine oxygen chamber might be a project worth pursuing and he agree to experiment with a prototype. After many labour intensive nights and weekends, which both admit was exhausting but exciting, they produced several prototypes starting with tiny chambers for mice. The two of them view equines as athletes that can benefit from HBOT in the same way as their human counterparts. Many major league sports teams, including the Vancouver Canucks, began using HBOT in the early 90s. Stepping out with a website, it was only a short time before inquiries started pouring in. Martin and Greiner quit their day jobs and have been building hyperbaric oxygen chambers ever since. The first placements are in the US and Canada, but inquiries are coming from as far away as the United Kingdom and Europe, so they are winning over believers everywhere. Much of the evidence of HBOTs efficacy on horses is anecdotal but the results are impressive in numerous situations. So much so, that a major equine medical center in CaliforniaAlamo Pintado has purchased a chamber and is documenting its therapy and the reduced healing times that they are experiencing.
A single horse HBOT chamber undergoes final inspection before delivery. Contact EquineoxEquineox Technologies would be pleased to address any enquiries ranging from prices, size options, additional educational materials requests or service questions. We can be contacted in the following manner:
